A leading defense company is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for the Aerospace domain!

📍 Location: Haifa / Karmiel

Position Overview:

The role includes mechanical and structural design of airborne platforms and systems, from concept to final product, as well as modifications and integration on existing aircraft.

Responsibilities:

• Structural and mechanical design of airborne platforms
• Design of structural components: wings, reinforcements, structural joints and assemblies
• Mechanical design of aircraft systems, mechanisms, and installation assemblies
• Development of new aerospace products
• End-to-end design from concept to final configuration
• Balancing strength, weight, manufacturability, and flight safety considerations
• Installation design and modifications (MODIFICATIONS)
• Integration of new systems into existing aircraft
• Execution of structural modifications (STC – Supplemental Type Certificate)
• Collaboration with certification and regulatory authorities

Job Requirements:

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or Aeronautical Engineering – mandatory
• At least 2 years of experience leading a team of design engineers – mandatory
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in aerospace structural design and aircraft modifications – mandatory
• Proven experience with CAD software – mandatory
• Experience with CATIA V5 – advantage
• Familiarity with civilian and military aviation standards
