A Data Center Operations Manager leads the team responsible for the 24/7 reliability, efficiency, and security of a data center facility.
- Daily Operations & Team Leadership: Manage a multi-disciplinary team of technicians, engineers, and vendors.
- Infrastructure & Facility Management: Oversee the maintenance and repair of critical systems such as power distribution (UPS, generators), cooling (CRAHs, chillers), and fire suppression.
- Incident & Problem Management: Act as the primary escalation point for outages or equipment failures, leading the investigation, mitigation, and recovery processes to minimize downtime.
- Capacity & Performance Planning: Monitor system performance, managing space utilization, power, and cooling capacity.
- Compliance & Security: Enforce strict physical security protocols and ensure the facility adheres to industry standards (e.g., ISO, ASHRAE, ISO) and safety regulations like OSHA.
- Financial Oversight: Develop and manage annual budgets, including Capital Expenditure (CapEx) and Operating Expenditure
Requirements:
- Education: A qualified electrician
- Experience: 5–10 years of experience in data center operations, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership or people management role.
- Technical Skills: Deep understanding of electrical and mechanical infrastructure and tools like Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) and Building Management Systems (BMS)
