Security Engineer Application & Networking

Job Description:

We are looking for a motivated Security Engineer with at least 2-3 years of experience, a strong desire to succeed, and a proactive approach to learning new technologies to Lead, Manage and support Application Security Deployment Services.

Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain Application Security solutions focusing on Cloudflare.
• Assist with security configurations and performance optimization, including DNS, WAF, CDN, caching, and other security features.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity, DNS, SSL, and caching issues.
• Support the implementation of advanced Application security features such as Bot Protection, API Protection and DDoS protection.
• Implement different ZTNA & SASE Solutions including Cloudflare ZTNA, Secure Web Gateway, CASB & DLP, RBI, SASE
• Document configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
• Collaborate closely with customers, providing technical support, guidance, and Professional Services.

Requirements:

• 2–3 years of experience in security, networking, or cloud infrastructure roles.
• Strong understanding of OSI Model layers 3, 4, and 7.
• Good Knowledge with different Protocols: DNS, SSL/TLS, TCP/UDP, HTTP(S).
• Experience with reverse proxy, cache services, load balancing.
• Experience implementing ZTNA, SASE, or SSE products is required.
• Proficiency with Linux and command-line tools (curl, dig, traceroute, openssl, git, etc.).
• Experience with APIs, automation, and scripting.
• High self-learning ability, Proactive, independent, and strong problem-solving skills.
• Experience with similar products such as Radware, F5, Akamai, Reblaze, Imperva or equivalent is required.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with web development and/or web hosting.
• Experience installing and configuring web servers like Apache, Nginx, or IIS.
• Experience writing scripts in Bash, Python, JavaScript, or other scripting languages.
• Experience working in a client-facing role or delivering Professional Services.
