About the role

As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for building both our product and our people. You will translate our ambitious roadmap into high-quality code while cultivating a high-performing engineering culture.

• People Leadership: Manage, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers. You’ll be responsible for career development, performance management, and fostering a culture of technical excellence and psychological safety.
• Technical Stewardship: Lead the architecture and design of scalable web applications. You’ll stay "hands-on" with the code while ensuring the team maintains high standards for code quality, testing, and system reliability.
• Execution & Delivery: Own the full development lifecycle. You will work closely with Product to define requirements, manage sprint velocity, and ensure timely deployments of our AI-driven platform.
• Strategic Collaboration: Report directly to the VP of R&D. You will be a key voice in shaping the technology roadmap, architectural decisions, and the hiring strategy as we scale from seed to growth.
• Engineering Excellence: Establish and enforce best practices for CI/CD, monitoring, and distributed systems to ensure a seamless, high-performance user experience.

About you

• Experience: 6+ years of software development experience, including at least 2 years of management experience
• Technical Depth: Deep expertise in backend architecture, API design, and database management. You should be comfortable discussing the trade-offs of different distributed systems.
• Product Mindset: You don't just build features; you build solutions. You have a proven track record of translating business goals into robust technical implementations.
• Full-Stack Vision: While your core strength is likely the backend, you possess enough frontend knowledge to guide full-stack engineers and ensure seamless integration across the platform.
• Foundational Drive: You are highly motivated to take ownership of a mission-driven product and make a lasting impact on the healthcare industry.
• An advantage is given to those familiar with our technology stack (Python, TypeScript, React).
