Co-Founder & CTO (Deep Tech / Clean Energy)

Location: Remote / Hybrid (Stealth Mode Venture) Position Type: Part-Time (Min. 40%) to Full-Time Role: Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer

About the Venture

We are a stealth-mode deep-tech startup developing a breakthrough solution for geothermal energy. We are seeking a visionary technical leader to spearhead the R&D of a complex, multidisciplinary system that integrates advanced science with heavy industrial engineering.

The Role

As the CTO & Co-Founder, you will lead the technology roadmap from proof-of-concept to commercial deployment. You will orchestrate a multidisciplinary R&D strategy, bridging the gap between theoretical science and robust, industrial-scale hardware.

Key Requirements:

Experience: 10+ years of experience leading multi-disciplinary R&D teams in high-stakes, capital-intensive environments.

Education: M.Sc or Ph.D. in Physics, or Geophysics. 

(Mechanical / Electrical Engineering with an advanced degree would also be considered)

Leadership: Proven track record of managing complex system integrations involving hardware, software, and physical sciences.

Technical Expertise

High-Energy Laser Systems: Experience with high-power systems, applied science, or advanced optics integration in industrial settings.

Thermodynamics & Fluid Mechanics: Strong background in heat transfer, thermal exchange systems, or flow dynamics in extreme conditions.

Industrial Engineering: Familiarity with high-pressure/high-temperature (HPHT) environments, or heavy infrastructure projects (e.g., Oil & Gas, Mining, or Defense).

Complex System Integration: Ability to merge precision engineering (e.g., instrumentation, control loops) with macro-scale industrial operations.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Scientific & Operational: You can debate high level science with academics one minute and discuss mechanics or supply chain logistics the next.

Strategic Vision: Navigating the transition from lab-scale experiments to pilot-plant operations. Experience evaluating different commercial platforms.

Agility: Willingness to work hands-on in a lean startup environment.

Hard worker, eager with a child-like enthusiasm.

Commitment

Must be able to commit to at least a 40% scope initially, with a roadmap to full-time involvement as the company scales.

Equity-based compensation package appropriate for a Co-Founder level position.
