Embedded Software Team Leader

A high-profile Global Technology Leader specializing in advanced wireless communication, smart sensing, and artificial intelligence for the software and semiconductor industries.

The organization’s AI Division drives innovation in Machine Learning and Generative AI architectures, specifically for Edge devices and Cloud inference.

Their R&D efforts center on Neural Network Processors (NPU), Vision DSPs, and cutting-edge AI algorithms for high-end smartphones, automotive systems, and IoT devices. With over 500 employees (350 in Israel), the company operates from a prime location in Ra'anana (adjacent to the train) under a hybrid work model (2 days WFH).

The Role & Responsibilities

• The Embedded Software Team Lead will head a specialized team responsible for the company’s AI Framework the core software engine that bridges hardware and software.
• Leadership & Mentorship: Managing and leading a high-caliber Embedded Software team, providing technical guidance, and conducting performance reviews.
• AI Framework Ownership: Overseeing the design and implementation of the AI framework, enabling high-performance execution of advanced AI models on NPU hardware.
• System Integration: Developing critical software that ensures seamless connectivity and communication between the NPU and the Host CPU.
• Architectural Collaboration: Partnering with Hardware Architects, NPU teams, and System Engineers to design hardware IP that is optimized for embedded software and energy efficiency.
• Delivery Management: Ensuring adherence to complex development timelines and high-fidelity project outputs.
• Technical Execution: Participating directly in design and coding, maintaining a high standard of C++ development within embedded and firmware domains.

Requirements

• Academic Excellence: B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering – Mandatory.
• Management Pedigree: At least 3 years of proven experience in leading software development teams – Mandatory.
• C++ Mastery: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on development experience in C++ within Embedded or Firmware domains – Mandatory.
• Execution Skills: Strong background in overseeing the full development lifecycle, from design to production-ready implementation.
• Language Skills: Excellent communication skills for navigating a multidisciplinary, global R&D environment.
