Principal AI Engineer

A self-motivated Principal AI Engineer with strong ownership and outstanding communication skills.

In this strategic role, you will help the group tackle the hardest AI problems - from identifying where AI can have the most impact, to designing and shipping production-ready solutions. You'll work closely with product, data science, and engineering teams, with the goal of making AI a core, reliable driver.

As a Principal AI Engineer you will:

• Identify where AI can have the highest impact - across product, operations, and the business, and driving those opportunities end-to-end
• Build and ship AI agents, structured extraction systems, and LLM powered product features - in production, not just prototypes
• Build internal tooling and platforms that help the broader engineering and data teams experiment and ship AI features responsibly
• Define evaluation frameworks and benchmarks to measure model quality, reliability, and business impact
• Set the technical standards for AI development and mentoring engineers across the team

What youʼll need:

• Strong product and business intuition - you understand what's worth building,
• A self-directed ownership mentality - you define the problem, shape the solution, and drive it to outcome
• Seasoned engineer with a strong track record of shipping AI/ML systems in production not just how to build it
• Proficiency in Python; comfort across the full stack is a plus
• Excellent communication skills - you can work effectively with product, business, and engineering stakeholders, not just with code
