IT Support Specialist

The Role & Responsibilities

• Reporting directly to the Head of Platform, this is a critical "One-Man Show" position responsible for the organization's entire internal IT ecosystem. The role requires a high level of independence and the ability to operate within high-security environments:
• Systems Management (80% Focus): Leading the installation, maintenance, and management of diverse endpoints, including Apple MacBooks and Linux systems, ensuring compliance with strict security protocols.
• Onboarding & Lifecycle: Managing the end-to-end onboarding process for new employees, including device provisioning and user identity management.
• Infrastructure & Networking: Maintaining network services and infrastructure; troubleshooting complex connectivity issues with a deep understanding of TCP/IP and network protocols.
• Security & Perimeter: Managing and maintaining Firewalls and security appliances to protect the research lab's sensitive assets.
• Operational Excellence: Serving as the sole point of contact for all technical support issues, ensuring zero downtime for a high-performance research team.

Requirements-

• 3 years of experience in IT systems administration or technical support roles – Mandatory.
• Expert-level experience in managing both Linux and macOS environments – Mandatory.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Networking protocols and TCP/IP troubleshooting – Mandatory.
• Experience working with and configuring Firewalls and security-related IT infrastructures – Mandatory.
• Proven ability to function as a "One-Man Show," demonstrating high accountability, organizational skills, and a service-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work effectively within a highly sensitive and secure research environment.
