Data Science Team Lead

The Role & Responsibilities

• This is a strategic, newly created leadership position designed to establish a new tier of management within the group.
• Reporting directly to the Group Manager, you will lead a specialized team of 2-3 Data Scientists, balancing high-level management (50%) with deep technical Hands-on (50%) contribution:
• Technological Vision: Defining the technological roadmap and strategic vision for AI integration across various data types (Graphs, Structured Data, Text, and Images).
• Advanced ML & GenAI: Leading the research and implementation of Machine Learning and LLM-based models, including advanced use-cases like RAG and Multi-modal processing.
• Research to Production: Overseeing the end-to-end ML lifecycle from exploratory research to deploying Production-ready models integrated with complex engineering systems.
• Team Mentorship: Providing personal and professional guidance, fostering a culture of excellence and rapid technical growth within the team.
• Cross-Functional Impact: Partnering with Product teams and high-level stakeholders to translate mission-critical needs into sophisticated algorithmic solutions.
• The Stack- Python (scikit-learn, PyTorch, pandas), LLMs, RAG, Graph Data, Kubernetes, Spark, Elasticsearch, and Airflow.

Requirements-

• 2 years of experience in a management/team lead role within a Data Science environment – Mandatory.
• At least 4 years of professional experience as a Data Scientist, with a proven track record in Machine Learning – Mandatory.
• Deep familiarity with modern data engineering and deployment tools: Kubernetes, Spark, Elasticsearch, or Airflow – Mandatory.
• Proven experience in building and deploying models in high-scale production environments.
• A B.Sc./M.Sc. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent – Mandatory.
• Background from military technology units or experience within the security/intelligence sector is a significant advantage.
