The Role & Responsibilities

• The Software Automation Engineer is a key technical stakeholder within the development group, reporting to the Engineering Manager.
• The role is responsible for the architectural design and execution of end-to-end automation strategies:
• Automation Stewardship: Planning and writing sophisticated E2E automation tests to ensure the integrity of a high-traffic, complex product ecosystem.
• Framework Engineering: Developing and maintaining advanced automation frameworks and internal tools using a modern Node.js and TypeScript stack.
• CI/CD Leadership: Taking full ownership of CI/CD processes and tools within the team, optimizing for deployment speed and system reliability.
• System Analysis: Developing a comprehensive vision of product architecture to build high-coverage API and UI automated tests.
• Cloud Operations: Collaborating within an AWS environment to integrate automated testing into scalable cloud workflows.

Requirements

• Professional Depth: At least 3 years of experience as an Automation Developer for complex, high-scale software products – Mandatory.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience in Node.js and TypeScript/JavaScript – Mandatory.
• Testing Frameworks: Proven experience with modern testing frameworks; proficiency in Playwright is a significant advantage – Mandatory.
• Testing Breadth: Demonstrated expertise in both API and UI automated test development.
• DevOps Literacy: Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitLab.
• Infrastructure: Hands-on experience working in AWS cloud environments.
• Execution: A self-driven professional with a passion for automating manual processes and the ability to operate independently within a mission-critical team.
