About the role:
We are seeking a Security Software Engineer to join the Unit 42 Managed Services Engineering team. The team builds the Next-Gen Hunting Platform, an AI-driven “Single Pane of Glass” used by global Managed Services teams to detect, investigate, and stop cyber threats at scale.
This role sits at the intersection of full-stack engineering, threat intelligence, and generative AI, translating complex threat-hunting workflows into production-ready software.
Requirements:
Security Experience: 3+ years in security research, incident response, threat hunting, or threat intelligence.
Software Development: 2+ years of development experience.
Education: BSc in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Engineering Approach: Experience building scalable, production-ready solutions and validating through testing.
Team Collaboration: Ability to work with global teams and take ownership of execution.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, especially React or Next.js.
Familiarity with GCP, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Experience with Cortex XDR or Cortex XSOAR.
Use of AI/LLM tools (e.g., Gemini or Claude) to enhance development workflows.
