Job description

The INSIGHT Lab at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, led by Prof. Chaim Baskin, is recruiting outstanding and motivated researchers for M.Sc., Ph.D., and Postdoctoral positions.

🚀 We are looking for candidates excited about building advanced AI systems that operate effectively in real-world settings, with a focus on robustness, efficiency, scalability, and generalization.

🔍 Research areas include:

🌍 World Models & Generative Simulation

🧠 Multimodal & Vision-Language Foundation Models

🔗 Graph Neural Networks & Graph Foundation Models

⚙️ Resource-Efficient Learning — including semi-supervised and weakly supervised learning, quantization, compression, and neural architecture search

🏆 The lab regularly publishes at top venues including NeurIPS, ICLR, CVPR, ICCV, and ECCV.

🎓 Who we’re looking for

M.Sc. candidates

✅ B.Sc. from a leading Israeli university, preferably with honors

✅ Strong background and hands-on experience in deep learning

Ph.D. candidates

✅ Master’s degree in a relevant field

✅ At least one top-tier publication relevant to INSIGHT Lab’s research activities

Postdoctoral candidates

✅ At least four publications relevant to INSIGHT Lab’s research activities

✅ All publications should appear in top-tier conferences

✅ Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research
