Software System Engineer

Location: Northern Israel | Defense Company

Position Overview

A key, high-impact role responsible for leading all software aspects of complex systems throughout the full project lifecycle — from requirements definition to final delivery.

Lead all software-related activities from a system-level perspective across the entire project lifecycle
Define requirements, design, develop, test, and implement complex software components
Guide and lead software development teams through all project phases (requirements, design, implementation, testing, and production transfer)
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including engineering, development, testing, and additional stakeholders
Participate in product requirements analysis, risk assessment, and interface management (internal & external)
Define and document system-level software requirements and specifications
Build software verification plans and support integration and testing processes
Plan, manage, and monitor execution to ensure alignment with project goals, timelines, and deliverables

🎯 Requirements

B.Sc. in Computer Science / Software Engineering / Computer Engineering
At least 5 years of experience in software development
Experience in system engineering / project leadership / leading software or communication systems development
Experience leading software teams – strong advantage
Experience leading and performing integration between multiple systems – strong advantage
