Senior Backend Engineer

Mesh Security is on a mission to revolutionize enterprise security. Our AI-powered platform gives modern security teams full context, visibility, and control across fragmented cloud environments empowering them to prevent, detect, and respond to threats in real time.

We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to own and scale the core backend and data pipelines of our platform. This is a high-impact role focused on building distributed systems that process massive volumes of security data and power our AI-driven detections.

You’ll work closely with frontend, product, and security engineers, with real ownership over architecture and execution.

Own backend services and end-to-end data pipelines

Build and maintain systems in Python (FastAPI, SQLAlchemy)

Design and implement AI agent workflows

Design distributed, cloud-native systems for real-time, high-scale data

Make architectural decisions around data models, performance, and scalability

Support AI/ML workflows and analytics

Take responsibility for production readiness, monitoring, and reliability

5+ years of backend engineering experience

Cybersecurity Background

Passioned about developing with AI

Strong Python backend experience

Experience with distributed systems and data-heavy platforms

Hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes

Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases

Ownership mindset and strong collaboration skills

Kafka or other messaging systems

AI-powered or analytics-heavy products

OpenSearch, graph databases

Own critical backend and data pipelines

Build an AI-driven security product from the ground up

Small, strong team with fast feedback loops
