Product Design Lead

Grip Security is looking for a talented and experienced Product Design Lead to join our design team.

As a Product Design Lead at Grip, you will initially lead a designer, with the expectation to mentor, coach, and scale the design function as the company grows. This is a role for a "player-coach" who loves getting into the weeds of Figma while also shaping the long-term design culture of the company.

Using the newest technologies, we're working on solving a huge problem all enterprises face today; to govern the accessibility of all its employees to all 3rd party vendors (GitHub, SendGrid, Atlassian, and thousands more!), and to make sure there is no leftover/unwanted access to any of the organization's SaaS and AI assets. The SaaS and AI Security field is complex and challenging. Therefore, we're looking for super-talented people, who are not afraid of technical challenges and breaking down barriers to achieve good solutions.

The Job

• Be the User’s Voice: Advocate for the user in every product discussion. Translate complex technical requirements into elegant, user-centric interactions.
• Lead & Mentor: Manage and provide creative direction to our designer, fostering a culture of feedback, growth, and high-quality craft.
• Own the Interaction: Define and maintain the design language and interaction patterns within Grip to ensure consistency and usability.
• Collaborate Broadly: Work closely with Product Managers and Engineering to bridge the gap between "what is possible" and "what is delightful."
• Scale the Function: Establish design processes, from user research and prototyping to hand-offs, that allow the team to move fast without breaking the user experience. Improve and evolve the way we work together, and build a creative, collaborative, and inspiring design environment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Product Designer.
• 2+ years experience managing, mentoring and professionally supporting other designers.
• Experience with B2B complex systems and SaaS products – a must.
• Extensive experience in product design processes and best practices, that include UX research, UI design, product design development & design system.
• High proficiency in Figma.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Superb relationship with Dev teams.
• Conceptual thinker with an ability to understand user behavior, simplicity, and usability.
• A Passion for creative problem-solving with a “can do” positive attitude, making users love the product
• Experience with user research and user testing.
