Back End Developer

At ONE ZERO, Israel’s first fully digital bank, we’re building the technology that powers a new era of intuitive, transparent, people-first banking.

We are looking for a Backend Developer to join our DevExperience (DevEx) team. In this unique role, your "customers" are our own engineering teams. You will be responsible for building cross-organizational infrastructures, streamlining development workflows, and leading the integration of AI-driven tools into our R&D lifecycle. Your Day-to-Day

• Architect & Build: Develop and maintain robust, scalable, and cloud-native internal platforms that serve all R&D teams.
• AI Innovation: Research, pick, and implement AI-based development tools (like GitHub Copilot, automated code reviews, or LLM-based testing) to accelerate our velocity.
• Developer Productivity: Identify bottlenecks in the development lifecycle and build automated solutions to solve them.
• Infrastructure as Code: Take ownership of end-to-end development—from architecture to production—using Kubernetes, AWS, and modern CI/CD practices.
• Mentorship & Standards: Set the gold standard for backend development, promoting best practices and modern architectural patterns across the organiza

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in server-side development – Must.
• B.Sc. in Computer Science/Engineering – Must.
• Expertise in JVM languages: Proficiency in Java or Kotlin or Scala – 1 is a Must.
• Deep Backend Knowledge: Extensive experience with Spring / Spring Boot.
• Cloud & Dev Tools: Hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Kafka.
• Build Systems: Experience with Maven or Gradle.
• Data: Solid experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Microservices: Strong understanding of microservices architecture and best practices.

• AI Enthusiast: Experience with integrating AI tools/APIs (OpenAI, LangChain, etc.) into workflows.
• Tooling Mindset: Proven track record of building internal tools, CLI utilities, or improving CI/CD pipelines.
