Fund Controller

One of our clients, a venture capital fund that invests in innovative technology companies and manages a diverse investment portfolio, is looking to hire a Financial Controller.

This role is positioned within the finance team of the fund and combines accounting, fund operations, and financial analysis, with direct exposure to investment activity and portfolio performance.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting cycle of the venture capital fund

• Oversee capital calls, distributions, and investor capital accounts

• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements

• Lead investor reporting processes and ensure accuracy and timeliness

• Monitor portfolio company performance, including valuations and financial metrics

• Support investment activities through financial analysis and modeling

• Work closely with auditors, legal advisors, and external service providers

• Support ongoing financial operations and compliance requirements of the fund

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field

• 2 to 4 years of experience in a leading accounting firm or within the financial services industry

• Strong accounting knowledge and financial reporting capabilities

Preferred Background

• Experience working with venture capital or private equity funds

• Familiarity with fund structures such as LP GP, capital calls, and distributions

• Experience with financial modeling and data analysis

• Background in fund accounting or fund administration
