Senior System Engineer / Cybersecurity Lead

A global financial services organization operating in a regulated environment is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity professional to lead and strengthen its enterprise security across a multi-region infrastructure.

This is a strategic yet hands-on role, working cross-functionally with IT, R&D, Risk, and Compliance teams, with direct impact on systems, products, and regulatory readiness.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the organization’s security strategy, policies, and governance frameworks
• Design and implement robust security architecture, including identity and access management (IAM) and “Security by Design” principles
• Lead system hardening efforts across Windows and Linux environments
• Take ownership of vulnerability management processes, including risk prioritization and remediation
• Coordinate and oversee penetration testing activities with external vendors
• Manage internal and external audit processes, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards (ISA, CySEC, DORA)
• Work closely with IT, R&D, Risk, and Compliance teams to enforce security controls
• Contribute to Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity (BCP) planning and execution

Requirements

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in Cybersecurity
• Proven experience with security tools such as Cloudflare, Microsoft Defender (ATP/M365), firewalls, and web filtering solutions
• Strong background securing both Windows and Linux systems
• Experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python)
• Experience working with cloud security in Azure and/or AWS, including multi-cloud environments
• Fluent English and Hebrew
