AI Software Architect

A prominent global technology leader specializes in advanced wireless communication, intelligent sensing, and AI-driven semiconductor solutions.

This role sits within the AI Division, the powerhouse driving innovation in Machine Learning and Generative AI architectures for both edge devices and cloud inference.

Their research and development span Neural Network Processors (NPU) and Vision DSPs, powering the next generation of smartphones, automotive systems, and autonomous AI devices through high-efficiency IP design and embedded software.

The company is located in the Sharon Area (prime high-tech hub with direct train access) and operates a hybrid work model with two days remote flexibility.

Role Overview:

• AI Software Stack Leadership: Leading the software architecture for Neural Processing Units (NPUs), defining critical components for efficient neural network execution under strict power, memory, and latency constraints.
• Architecture Specification: Overseeing the design and specification of advanced Software Toolchains for NPU operations, including graph compilers and network inference execution.
• End-to-End AI Solutions: Designing software flows that bridge the gap between AI application requirements and hardware capabilities, covering network retraining, graph compiling, and embedded execution.
• Cross-Functional Influence: Collaborating with Hardware, System Architects, VLSI, and Product teams to influence IP features and technological roadmaps.
• Technical Mentorship: Providing high-level guidance to development teams, initiating the creation of support tools such as simulators and models to optimize development cycles.
• Strategic Roadmap: Translating emerging AI trends (GenAI, LLMs) into actionable software architecture flows and long-term technological strategies.

Requirements:

• B.Sc. in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering – Mandatory.
• 8+ years of professional Software Development experience – Mandatory.
• 5+ years of experience as a Software Architect – Mandatory.
• Deep proficiency in Python and C++ – Mandatory.
• Embedded Software Expertise: Proven experience in architecture development and optimization for embedded processors within the AI or Vision domains – Mandatory.
• Strong ability to translate complex neural network requirements into integrated hardware-software architectural flows.
• Exceptional communication skills for leading technical discussions with global clients and internal stakeholders.
