Role Overview

We are seeking a Data & Operations Manager to join our team and take ownership of the data infrastructure, operational workflows, and reporting systems that power Robyn Capital's investment activities.

This is a hands-on operational role at the core of how we run our funds and manage our portfolio. You will be responsible for keeping our data clean, structured, and actionable — across CRM systems, financial tracking, investor reporting, and deal management — while working closely with investment and finance stakeholders to ensure our operations run with precision and transparency.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable navigating both operational systems and financial data. You don't need to be an investment professional, but you do need to understand the financial context behind the data you're managing.

Key Responsibilities

Data Management & Systems

• Own and maintain Robyn's operational data across platforms, including Salesforce (CRM), Excel-based financial models, and fund administration systems.
• Ensure data integrity across deal records, portfolio companies, investor information, and transaction history.
• Build and maintain structured databases, dashboards, and tracking tools that give the team real-time visibility into fund activity.
• Develop and enforce data standards, naming conventions, and update protocols to keep information consistent and reliable.

Operational Workflows

• Lead end-to-end operational processes across Robyn's investment vehicles — including deal intake, documentation tracking, capital call processing, exit workflows, and investor distributions.
• Coordinate with legal, tax, and finance counterparts to ensure operational accuracy and compliance across fund structures.
• Manage investor infrastructure: onboarding documentation, reporting cycles, paying agent coordination, and ongoing investor communication.
• Identify operational gaps and build scalable processes to address them.

Reporting & Financial Tracking

• Produce regular internal and investor-facing reports, including portfolio performance updates, NAV calculations, and fund-level summaries.
• Work with financial models to track key metrics: investment valuations, carry calculations, return profiles, and capital deployment.
• Support preparation of materials for Investment Committee meetings, LP updates, and board-level reporting.
• Monitor portfolio companies and flag data changes that impact fund performance or reporting.

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Serve as the operational bridge between investment, finance, legal, and investor relations functions.
• Support deal execution from a process and documentation standpoint — ensuring all deal data is accurately captured and tracked.
• Oversee and mentor a junior analyst, maintaining quality and consistency across operational and data work.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field — required.
• 2–4 years of experience in operations, data management, or a related role within a financial institution, investment fund, or fintech environment — required.
• Proficiency in Salesforce and advanced Excel — required.
• Experience with fund administration systems or investment management platforms — advantageous.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, fund structures, and investment processes — advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to build and manage structured data systems from the ground up.
• Excellent attention to detail, with a track record of maintaining data accuracy under operational pressure.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple workflows and deadlines.
• Clear communicator who can translate operational data into insights for investment and investor relations stakeholders.
