Founding Software Engineer

An elite, early-stage Israeli Cyber Security startup is redefining how organizations detect and mitigate structural software vulnerabilities.

Backed by a prestigious American venture capital firm following a successful Seed round, the company is built on the mission of transforming "noisy" security alerts into high-signal, actionable business insights.

The R&D center is currently a lean, high-caliber founding team of four based in Central Israel (prime tech hub).

Role Overview:

• Founding-Stage Engineering: Leading the end-to-end development of the platform’s core logic, taking features from initial concept to production-grade deployment.
• AI Systems Integration: Building high-signal AI workflows that go beyond simple API calls to implement complex reasoning and deep system analysis.
• Backend Mastery: Developing high-performance services using a polyglot approach, including Go, Node.js, or Python.
• Performance Optimization: Implementing advanced optimization techniques to ensure that "deep-dive" security analysis remains both scalable and rapid.
• Modern AppSec & Cloud: Architecting secure, cloud-native systems while maintaining a deep understanding of the business logic behind security risks.
• Strategic Influence: Collaborating directly with the founders to define the technical roadmap and solve non-trivial challenges in automated vulnerability detection.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional experience in Software Engineering – Mandatory.
• Startup DNA: Proven track record of building products from 0 to 1, preferably as an early hire in a Seed-stage startup – Mandatory.
• Polyglot Backend Skills: Professional mastery of Go, Node.js, or Python – Mandatory.
• AI Implementation: Hands-on experience implementing AI/ML components into production workflows – Mandatory.
• AppSec & Cloud Awareness: Deep understanding of modern application security, cloud architecture, and business-risk analysis – Mandatory.
• High-level optimization skills for data-intensive or complex analytical systems.
