Software Configuration Manager (SCM)

About the Role

The Missiles and Space Systems Division is looking for a Software Configuration Manager (SCM).

The role includes:

• Responsibility for software configuration management throughout the development lifecycle, including testing, releases, and change management.
• Ongoing collaboration with development, testing, and systems engineering teams using version control and automation tools to ensure code integrity, consistency, and efficiency across development, testing, and production environments.
• Software Configuration Management (SCM) in multi-component projects.
• Management of versions and changes within the source code.
• Responsibility for release processes, baselines, and restorations.
• Working with version control tools such as: ClearCase, Azure DevOps, SVN.
• Building and maintaining scripts and automations for Build and Release processes.
• Configuration documentation and management of Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Ensuring consistency between development, testing, and production environments.
• Assisting and guiding systems and software engineers in configuration and engineering data management.
• Continuous improvement of workflows and standards in the SCM field.

What We Are Looking For

• B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Management / Software Engineering / Computer Science / or a Practical Engineer degree.
• 2-3 years of experience in Software Configuration Management (SCM).
• Experience working with at least one of the following tools: ClearCase / Azure DevOps / SVN.
• Good understanding of software development, testing, and release processes.
• Experience in writing scripts and automation – Advantage.
• Experience working with complex and multi-version systems.
• Organization, precision, ability to work independently, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with multiple interfaces and stakeholders.
