About This Role

As a Junior Software Engineer at Just Eat Takeaway, you will be responsible for developing robust, high-quality software solutions by leveraging cutting-edge AI development tools and emerging technologies. You will translate business strategy into well-engineered platforms, ensuring every line of code, whether human-written or AI-generated, meets our IT standards and project specifications.

JET Pay is Just Eat Takeaway’s global payment ecosystem, serving both B2B and B2C sectors across 15 markets. For B2C members, it offers a seamless way to pay for meals and goods using accumulated credits. As the industry’s leading B2B solution, it empowers businesses to offer flexible meal budgets to their employees, whether they are at home or in the office, eliminating the need for traditional on-site canteens.

The Payment Infrastructure team is the backbone of this product, responsible for managing live processes, developing innovative new features, and scaling the infrastructure to meet global demand.

Location: Hybrid- 3 days a week from our Tel Aviv office & 2 days working from home

Reporting to: Technology Manager

These are some of the key components to the position:

• Build, maintain, and enhance robust and scalable cloud software components and services
• Optimise large-scale cloud applications to increase speed and size
• Working with cutting-edge AI-based tools and methodologies.
• Collaborate with team members and a wide range of other stakeholders
• Develop server-side infrastructure to assist other developers in the company
• Take a flexible, proactive, and KPI-driven approach to your work
  
  

What will you bring to the team?

• Professional experience with C# in a working environment, beyond classroom work
• Hands-on experience with .NET technologies (experience with .NET 8+ is an advantage)
• Awareness of Large Language Models (LLMs) for technical problem-solving, documentation, and architectural brainstorming
• A solid understanding of SQL databases
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL - A plus
• Familiarity with SaaS platforms
• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or any other cloud-based environment - A plus
• A solid understanding of Unit Testing principles and practices
• High level of English proficiency, including excellent communication skills
