About The Position
This full-time position, based in Tel Aviv, you will be responsible for leading and managing all end-to-end financial processes across designated markets. As a key member of the finance team, the Controller will serve as a strategic finance business partner, supporting operational and commercial decision-making with strong analytical insight. The role requires ownership of accounting, reporting, and financial controls, ensuring all activities are executed in full compliance with local regulations and company policies. We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented professional with a hands-on approach, strong business acumen, and the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment while driving continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
In general, Markets Controller Senior Lead is responsible for managing effectively Finance activities of Mindspace across multiple markets, supporting overall business objectives and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Day to Day Finance Operations Activities:
- Supervise the Invoicing and Collection Processes. Ensure invoicing, revenue recognition and cash collection is done on time and resolve complicated billing/debt collection issues.
- Supervise Account Payable processes, ensure supplier payments/inquiries are promptly executed aligned with Mindspace’s Payment Policy
- Budgeting and Forecasting
- Develop Budgets: Lead the budgeting process for each market, ensuring alignment with overall strategy.
- Prepare financial forecasts and projections as needed
- Variance Analysis: Conduct variance analysis to compare actual performance against budgets, and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Cash Flow Management
- Monitor Cash Flow: Oversee cash flow management to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs across markets.
- Optimize Working Capital: Implement strategies to optimize working capital and manage accounts receivable and payable effectively.
- Prepare and Review Financial Statements:
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of consolidated financial statements for all markets. Including preparation of quarterly Reporting Package and related working paper according to IFRS.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance metrics across different markets to provide actionable insights.
- Engage with Stakeholders:
- Analyze, report and communicate financial performance, issues, and strategies with Internal and external stakeholders and work closely with other departments to align financial activities with business objectives.
- Act as a Finance Business Partner to your markets providing financial data and insight to utilize data driven decision making
- Internal Controls and Compliance
- Implement Internal Controls: Develop and enforce internal control procedures to safeguard assets and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Audit Coordination: Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits and ensure all necessary documentation is provided for your specific markets.
- Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards and regulations, in particular compliance with IFRS 16.
- Team Leadership and Development
- Supervise and mentor finance teams in various markets, ensuring effective performance and development.
- Systems and Processes
- Identify and implement process improvements and tools to enhance financial operations and reporting efficiency.
Experience & Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting and CPA from a Big 4 accounting firm, with a minimum of 5 years of experience after internship. Mandatory
- Previous experience being a controller for an International entity. Mandatory
- High level of English and Hebrew - Mandatory
- Experience managing Global Accounting Operations - Advantage
- Experience being a Finance Business Partner - Advantage
- Excellent systems/tools capabilities including Excel, G-Sheet, SAP and FP&A systems (Datarails - advantage)
- Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards
- Analytical ability to develop and implement improvements or recommendations
