Big Data Engineer

The company is located in Central Israel (prime high-tech hub with direct train access) and operates a hybrid work model with two days remote flexibility.

Role Overview:

• Scalable Data Architecture: Designing and implementing robust data pipelines and cloud-native architectures to support massive enterprise datasets.
• Modern Data Stack: Working extensively with a cutting-edge technical environment including Snowflake, Databricks, and Airflow.
• AI & GenAI Integration: Leveraging Large-Scale Generative AI tools and LLMs to enhance predictive customer insights and recommendation engines.
• Real-Time Processing: Building and maintaining high-throughput streaming pipelines using Kafka for real-time data ingestion.
• Collaboration & Impact: Joining a high-caliber engineering team to bridge the gap between complex raw data and actionable business value for global clients.
• End-to-End Ownership: Taking responsibility for the full data lifecycle, from ingestion and ETL processes in Python and SQL to production-grade deployment.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering or BI Development – Mandatory.
• Product Company Background: Proven experience working within high-growth software product organizations – Mandatory.
• Expertise in SQL & Python: Deep proficiency in writing complex queries and scalable backend scripts – Mandatory.
• AI Implementation: Practical experience working with AI/ML tools or Generative AI frameworks – Mandatory.
• Big Data Ecosystems: Hands-on experience with modern data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake) and orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow).
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle large-scale data challenges independently.
