8400 The Health Network is a non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening and accelerating Israel’s healthcare system, with the goal of transforming the health ecosystem into a significant economic growth engine for the country.

The organization operates by building a collaborative ecosystem that connects leaders across healthcare, entrepreneurship, industry, government, and academia. Through professional communities, leadership programs, and system-level initiatives, 8400 creates the human and professional infrastructure needed to develop, adopt, and implement innovation, both to improve public health and to strengthen Israel’s economy.

Role Purpose

The Director of Communities is the leading professional responsible for the communities and forums activities at 8400. The role includes both strategic and operational leadership of the communities, development of a meaningful and continuous community experience, and strengthening the professional and systemic value generated by these communities for their members and for the broader healthcare system.

The role involves building and executing annual work plans at both the individual community level and from a broader system-wide perspective, while creating synergies between communities and aligning with the organization’s overall initiatives.

This is a temporary maternity leave replacement position (approximately 6 months), with an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities

Community & Forum Leadership

• Lead and manage all community activities throughout the year
• Execute annual work plans for each community
• Create synergies between communities and connect them to broader organizational initiatives

Content & Community Experience

• Develop and lead high-quality professional content for community engagements
• Design a meaningful, continuous, and value-driven community experience
• Work closely with community leaders and key members

Events & Operations

• Plan and execute community and forum meetings and events
• Oversee content and production aspects
• Partner in planning and delivering relevant components of the organization’s annual conference

Data-Driven Work

• Define KPIs for community success
• Work closely with the data team on measurement, surveys, and network mapping
• Generate insights and drive continuous improvement

Partnerships & Representation

• Manage relationships with partners across government, healthcare organizations, industry, and philanthropy
• Represent the communities and the organization in relevant forums
• Develop strategic collaborations

Requirements

• Strong familiarity with Israel’s healthcare ecosystem – Required
• Proven experience managing professional communities or large-scale forums (experience working with senior stakeholders is a strong advantage)
• Ability to build and manage relationships with government and corporate partners
• Strong leadership skills combined with hands-on execution capability
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
• Fluent Hebrew and English
• Immediate availability
