Software Engineer

The company is located in Central Israel (prime high-tech district with direct train access) and operates a hybrid work model with two days remote flexibility.

Role Overview:

• Technical Leadership: Serving as the technical authority within a core development team, reporting directly to the Team Lead.
• High-Scale Engineering: Driving the development of mission-critical services using Scala and Java within a Microservices architecture.
• Cloud-Native Development: Architecting and deploying scalable solutions on AWS, ensuring high availability and system resilience.
• Containerization & DevOps: Utilizing Docker and modern orchestration tools to streamline deployment cycles and environment consistency.
• AI Integration: Partnering with data science teams to integrate complex Machine Learning models into the production SaaS environment.
• Code Excellence: Mentoring peers, conducting deep code reviews, and establishing best practices for distributed system design.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of professional experience in Backend Development (Java, Scala, or Kotlin) – Mandatory.
• Proven expertise in Cloud Computing (specifically AWS) – Mandatory.
• Strong experience with Microservices Architecture and distributed systems – Mandatory.
• Hands-on proficiency with Docker and containerized environments – Mandatory.
• Solid understanding of functional programming principles or high-concurrency systems.
• Ability to lead technical initiatives and solve complex architectural challenges
