Director of Validation and System Integration

One of our clients, a cutting-edge technology company specializing in the development of advanced multidisciplinary systems that combine hardware, FPGA, embedded software, and high-level software platforms, is looking to hire a Director of Validation and System Integration.

The company develops high-performance products deployed in real-world environments, focusing on complex system design that integrates multiple engineering domains, with a strong emphasis on innovation and engineering excellence.

About the Role

Lead end-to-end validation of complex multidisciplinary systems, with full ownership of system quality and release readiness, including leadership and management of a large multidisciplinary group of approximately 30 engineers.

Responsibilities

• Own system-level validation across hardware, firmware, and software
• Define and execute validation strategies, coverage, and test plans
• Set quality gates and release criteria (Go/No-Go)
• Lead system integration across HW, FPGA, embedded, and software teams
• Drive cross-domain debugging and failure analysis
• Lead, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary validation organization of ~30 engineers
• Implement CI pipelines and automated validation frameworks
• Translate field issues into validation and regression scenarios
• Work closely with R&D, Product, and customer-facing teams

Requirements

• B.Sc. / M.Sc. in a relevant field
• 12+ years of experience with complex multidisciplinary systems
• Proven experience integrating hardware, FPGA/ASIC, embedded systems, and software
• Strong ownership of system-level validation, including strategy, metrics, and release readiness
• Hands-on experience in system integration and cross-domain debugging
• Significant leadership experience managing large teams, including groups of around 30 engineers
• Experience with CI, automation, and production systems

Ideal Candidate

• Hands-on technical leader with end-to-end ownership of product quality
• Proven experience managing and scaling teams of approximately 20-30 engineers
• Strong background in hardware-centric systems
• Experience working on complex integrated products in production environments
