Security Clearance

Mandatory “Shamur” (Confidential) clearance.

Higher clearance (“Sodi”) may be required. The company will sponsor the clearance process if needed.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector to join the Operations Department of a leading company in the defense / aerospace industry.

This role combines hands-on quality inspection with leadership responsibility over a small quality inspection team.

Key Responsibilities

• Quality assurance activities and continuous improvement (corrective & preventive actions) for development and manufacturing processes
• Professional supervision and guidance of quality inspectors (incoming inspection – electronic & mechanical, and final inspection)
• Managing and executing FAI (First Article Inspection) processes
• Conducting and managing internal and external quality audits (Standards Institute, customers, etc.)
• Incoming inspection of repair items, including customer complaint handling and Root Cause Analysis
• Managing and executing MRB (Material Review Board) and rejection reports
• In-process inspections within operations
• Verifying compliance with quality standards such as IPC-A-610 and IPC-620
• Final inspection of company products according to procedures, drawings and specifications (including repair reports)
• Periodic quality analysis of manufacturing issues (FOD, yield failures, electrical faults, etc.)
• Coordinating and hosting customer source inspections
• Training operations employees on quality standards and quality tools
• Managing the FRACAS system and monitoring recurring failures
• Updating quality procedures and writing work instructions
• Supplier rating management and supplier qualification activities

Reporting to: Quality Assurance Manager

Requirements

Education (At least one of the following is required)

• B.Sc. in Quality Engineering / Electronics / Mechanical Engineering (with quality coursework) – Advantage
• Specialization in Quality & Reliability (as part of engineering degree or M.Sc.) – Advantage
• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) – Advantage

Experience & Skills

• Minimum 3 years of proven experience in the defense or civil aerospace industry as a Quality Inspector or Quality Manager – Mandatory
• High-level English, including technical English – Mandatory
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel & Word) – Mandatory
• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings – Mandatory
• Experience with AS9100 / ISO9001 audits or major defense contractors audits (IAF, Elbit, Rafael, IAI) – Advantage
• Experience conducting internal and external audits – Advantage
• Experience writing procedures and inspection processes – Advantage
• FRACAS failure analysis experience – Advantage
• Familiarity with Priority ERP – Advantage
• IPC-A-610 and IPC-620 certifications – Advantage
• Willingness to work extended hours when required
