Qarakal Quantum is a full-stack quantum computing company dedicated to developing cutting-edge quantum computing systems based on superconducting qubits, spanning both hardware and software innovations.

We are seeking talented individuals to join our Quantum Theory and Simulation team to help model, design, and simulate superconducting quantum processors. Our focus is on advancing noisy intermediate-scale quantum (NISQ) computing and from there to advance to error handling and ultimately error correction. We tackle this challenge in close collaboration with our design and calibration teams. At Qarakal Quantum, we foster innovation, teamwork, and the continuous development of scalable quantum technologies.

What You'll Do

• Develop and advance theories of superconducting quantum circuits, focusing on novel qubit architectures and interactions.
• Construct quantum mechanical models to describe superconducting qubit systems.
• Perform numerical simulations to investigate qubit dynamics, gate operations, and readout mechanisms.
• Stay current with developments in quantum information science and identify opportunities to integrate them into our stack.

Qualifications

• Educational Background: MSc in Quantum Physics, Solid-State Physics, Condensed Matter Physics, or a related field (PhD preferred).
• Experience: At least three years of relevant work or research experience.
• Research Skills: Experience in the design and simulation of circuit QED and superconducting qubit devices is an advantage.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python or similar high-level programming languages (OOP).
• Excellent teamwork and communication abilities to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
• Background in superconducting qubits or other quantum hardware platforms (advantageous).

📍 Location: The company operates from Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, with this role primarily based in Tel Aviv.
