Harness Designer

Beth‑El Industries (www.beind.com) is a fast-growing company, specialized in high-quality air filtration systems for shelters, safe rooms, civil defense and military vehicles. 

The R&D Department is looking for a wiring/harness designer, to prepare harness drawings for military systems, create accompanying documentation, and provide technical support to the harness production.

Responsibilities

• Design and drafting of harnesses in accordance with military standards using HarnWare and MS Visio

- Transition from development to production, including:

- Creating a Bill of Materials (BOM).

- Preparing kitting/wiring tables.

- Routing harnesses in the ERP system (master route cards for production).

- Writing work instructions.

• Defining inspection plans and writing test procedures.
• Supporting first article production.
• Implementing engineering changes.
• Performing periodic calibration of harness crimping tools and writing operating instructions for crimping tools.
• Ongoing support of the production floor in the harness domain.
• Updating and maintaining test programs for cable tester in the production environment.
• Manufacturing harnesses in R&D for testing and prototype purposes.
• Performing additional tasks as needed within the scope of the role.

Qualifications

• Education: Practical engineer in electronics or similar field.
• High accuracy, reliability, and excellent concentration skills.
• Proficiency in written technical English.
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility.
• Full proficiency in Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• At least two years of experience in military harness manufacturing – mandatory.
• Proficiency in HarnWare and MS Visio – significant advantage.
• Experience reading technical drawings, technical documentation, and preparing work instructions – an advantage.
• Willingness to learn professionally and grow in the role.
