Metallurgical Researcher

The Metallurgical Researcher will join the effort to understand and control the microstructure of the workpiece, the thermal treatment of the casted part in order to achieve the optimal quality and the highest mechanical properties of the digitally cast part. All activities take place in an interdisciplinary environment along with scientists, engineers, and professionals from various fields working together.

• Developing a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the metallurgical challenges in the company’s core technologies.
• Proposing novel ideas and solutions for the metallurgical challenges, then bringing them to a sufficient maturity level for engineering development.
• Designing, performing, and analyzing experiments to improve the part quality and system performance.
  
  

• PhD in materials science with more than 3 yrs. of proven experience as a metallurgist or
  
  

• Knowledge in Materials science simulation software, for example: MAGMASoft, ProCAST, Thermo-Calc, JMatPro, MatCalc, and TC-PRISMA.
• Open-minded, self-driven, independent, delivery-oriented.
• Hands-on laboratory experience.
• Strong interrelationship capabilities.
• Innovating and out-of-the-box thinking, approved patents is an advantage.
• Expertise in additive manufacturing of metal – advantage
• Knowledge in mechanical engineering, design and simulation – advantage
• Programming skills (Python, MATLAB, or similar) – advantage.
