SOC Analyst Tier 2

Mertens - MalamTeam is hiring for a leading organization in Petah Tikva.

This role includes investigating and leading complex cyber incidents, handling escalations, and supporting Tier 1 analysts. Responsibilities include investigation of security alerts, intrusion attempts, and malicious activity such as malware, phishing, and unauthorized access, as well as proactive threat hunting using methodologies such as MITRE ATT&CK.

The role also includes network traffic analysis, basic endpoint forensics, tuning and optimization of SIEM/XDR rules to reduce false positives, identifying process gaps, improving SOC operations, and mentoring analysts within the team.

Requirements:

1–2 years of experience as a SOC Analyst Tier 2
Proven experience in investigating, analyzing, and responding to security incidents
Experience working in multi-cloud environments (AWS/Azure)
Hands-on experience with FW, IPS, WAF, XDR/EDR, SIEM, Mail Relay/Email Security, Deception Technology
Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S
Experience with network traffic analysis using logs and tools such as Wireshark
Ability to write technical reports in Hebrew and English
