Algorithm Engineer – Student Position (60%) – Digital Health Sector
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and talented Algorithm Engineer Student to join our team and contribute to the development and implementation of cutting-edge computer vision algorithms
This is a 60% student position (3 days per week), offering a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience as part of a world-class computer vision team. The selected student will actively contribute to research, development, and deployment of innovative AI-driven solutions for real-time clinical decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
- Hands-On Research and Development:
- Design, develop, and optimize computer vision algorithms for real-time imaging and analytics tailored to endovascular decision support.
- Conduct experiments, fine-tune models, and analyze results to ensure robustness and accuracy in clinical environments.
- Collaborate with data engineers to build pipelines for processing and managing medical imaging datasets, including X-ray, CT and fluoroscopy.
- Product Development and Deployment:
- Collaborate with product & software teams to understand clinician needs and implement suitable solutions.
- Establish metrics and benchmarks to evaluate model performance in clinical environments.
- Ground Truth Development & Performance Validation:
- Design and implement ground truth methodologies, including annotation protocols and validation strategies, in collaboration with clinical stakeholders.
- Develop and refine ground truth markings for medical imaging datasets to support supervised learning and performance benchmarking.
- Build and maintain internal tools for algorithm performance testing, validation, and robustness analysis in real-world clinical scenarios.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of evaluation pipelines to ensure regulatory-grade documentation and reproducibility.
Requirements:
- Student for a master's degree or higher in electrical engineering, computer science or a relevant scientific degree.
- Proven experience in Computer Vision (from research, projects, or coursework).
- Hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch.
- Solid knowledge in Python.
- Strong theoretical and practical understanding of deep learning, particularly for computer vision tasks.
- Strong mathematical skills and analytical thinking.
- Availability to work approximately 3 days per week (60% position) – on-site in Ramat-Gan.
- Research in related fields – advantage
- Background in Medical image processing - advantage
