Development Manager – Electro-Optical Systems (Rehovot)

We are looking for an experienced Development Manager to lead the development of advanced Electro-Optical assemblies, with a focus on high-power laser systems, at our Rehovot site.

This is a key leadership role involving end-to-end responsibility for complex, multidisciplinary system development in a cutting-edge technological environment.

🛠️ Responsibilities

• Lead planning, synchronization, and execution of development activities across multiple engineering disciplines
• Coordinate closely with stakeholders including program managers, customers, subcontractors, production, and support teams
• Make critical technical decisions and approve major development milestones
• Ensure alignment with project goals (schedule, scope, quality, budget, and customer satisfaction)
• Define and oversee system-level technical requirements
• Lead formal technical processes (IPTs, design reviews, integration, testing, and trials)
• Prioritize engineering efforts and evaluate technical trade-offs
• Drive prototype development and complex experiments for risk reduction and validation
• Allocate resources and ensure successful delivery of system commitments

🎯 Requirements

• B.Sc. in Engineering – mandatory
• B.Sc./M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering – advantage
• Proven leadership and team management experience
• Strong system-level understanding and multidisciplinary engineering knowledge
• Experience in planning, risk management, and budget control
• At least 5 years of experience leading development processes in complex multidisciplinary systems
• Experience in military Electro-Optical systems development – mandatory
• Ability to quickly adapt and learn new technological domains
• High level of commitment and willingness to work in a dynamic, demanding environment
