QC Chemistry Team Leader

We are seeking an experienced and motivated QC Chemistry Team Leader to join a dynamic pharmaceutical environment and lead a professional laboratory team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, plan, and execute the team’s work plan and daily activities

• Oversee chemical and analytical testing, ensuring accuracy and compliance

• Liaise with outsourced laboratories to obtain and review test results

• Prepare and approve SOPs, protocols, and reports

• Review, approve, and present team results

• Manage CAPAs and change controls

• Represent the team during regulatory inspections and internal audits

• Lead investigations of deviations and out-of-specification (OOS) results

• Perform data trending and analysis to support decision-making

• Oversee team training, certification, and qualification programs

• Manage laboratory equipment lifecycle – procurement, calibration, validation, and maintenance

• Ensure continuous availability of reagents, standards, and solutions

This role includes:

• Working in a GMP-regulated environment

• Performing advanced chemical and instrumental testing such as HPLC, GC, FTIR,

spectrophotometry, water content analysis, and raw material identification

Requirements:

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Chemistry

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in a QC laboratory within the pharmaceutical or biotech

industry (mandatory)

• At least 3 years of experience in chemical testing

• Proven leadership and team management experience

• Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• High level of independence, motivation, and accountability

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy

• Excellent communication skills

• High level of English (written and spoken)
