Qarakal Quantum (formerly Qhipu) is a full-stack quantum computing company building superconducting quantum computers from the ground up. We are building toward large-scale fault-tolerant quantum computing with our own architecture: Designing QPUs, developing novel components and circuits, operating cryogenic systems, and building the software and algorithms needed to make the machines useful. Job description

We are looking for a Quantum Product Lead to define what we build next.

This is a deeply technical role focused on turning parallel R&D efforts into clear product releases. You will work across hardware, software, theory, lab operations, and system integration to decide which capabilities are prioritized, which developments are ready for release, and how each generation fits into the company’s broader strategy.

You will work directly with the teams building the technology to turn frontier research into concrete quantum products with clear goals, milestones, and product value.

Responsibilities

Productization: Translate research and engineering into product requirements, release goals, and deliverables.

Roadmap & Release Coordination: Align teams, timelines, milestones, and dependencies into clear product releases, and define which capabilities go into each product generation.

Technical Product Ownership: Make product decisions that balance technical ambition, constraints, release readiness, and long-term architecture goals.

KPIs: Define success criteria and ensure a clear path to validation and delivery.

Cross-functional Leadership: Work closely with physicists, engineers, developers, and technical leads to keep development aligned with product direction.

Qualifications

Mandatory:

-           BSc in physics, electrical engineering, computer science, or related fields.

-           Proven hands-on experience in system engineering of complex, multidisciplinary systems.

-           Experience with hardware-software platforms and deep-tech products.

-           Strong ability to integrate multiple subsystems into a cohesive solution.

-           Skilled in alignment across technical teams working on long-cycle, high-complexity R&D.

Advantage:

-           Experience in academic research, publications, and presentations.

-           Solid understanding of quantum computing concepts, preferably superconducting qubits.

-           Background in RF/microwave engineering, cryogenics, control electronics, or related areas.

-           Proven ability to work effectively across research, engineering, and product teams.

General

Our offices are in Tel Aviv, and our newly renovated lab facility is located at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (Givat Ram). Currently this position is primarily based in Tel Aviv.
