Director of Research Development

We are looking for an experienced and results-oriented VP R&D\Director to join us and lead the R&D group!

We are a leading and innovative big data company that is looking for a manager to join the executive team and lead the technological development efforts.

The role includes managing engineering teams, overseeing architecture and product development, defining development processes and technology standards, and driving a tech strategy that supports the company’s growth and business goals.

How your day to day will look like?

-Lead engineering teams to develop and implement a technology strategy aligned with the company’s vision

-Lead and optimize development processes, responsible for making decisions on architecture, infrastructure, and development tools

-Recruit, develop, and retain top engineering talent

-Collaborate closely with senior management and participate in strategic decisions

-Manage technology budgets and resources while prioritizing projects

-Provide tech leadership, mentor the team, and implement best practices

Requirements:

-At least 3 years’ experience as a VP R&D\director (Hands on)

-Experience with managing small\medium development teams to maintain high levels of visibility and efficiency

-Proven technical skills and self-learning ability, capable of thoroughly understanding the functional and technical aspects of a complex system

-Experience with Cloud technologies

-Microservice architectures

-Java programming/ any other OO design

-High throughput systems

-CI / CD - not hands on, but must understand the concepts

-Working with Big-Data infrastructures - Big Advantage

-Ability to initiate and lead agile processes to completion

-Innovator by nature and ability to think out of the box

-Proactive, highly motivated individual with an excellent work ethic and goal-oriented approach

-Excellent communication and interpersonal, proactive, fast learner skills

-Information security experience – An Advantage

-Strong leadership and ownership
