Software Team Lead

You will work to establish processes, practices and tooling for delivering and maintaining software at a level of quality much above the industry standard.

You will work with all teams in the organization and all bank stakeholders to perfect the requirements and arrive at simple, elegant solutions to very complex problems, where the cost of failing in production is much higher than usual.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the team in the design and implementation of robust banking software
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members
• Take a significant hands-on role in the development effort, writing financial logic, testing infrastructure and management tools, mostly in Python
• Work directly with the customer and internal stakeholders to turn vague and occasionally misguided requirements into clear and adequate functional specifications
• Establish culture, practices, processes and tooling that enable delivery and maintenance of software at a very high standard of quality
• Make sure the team is having fun and growing as professionals on the journey
  
  

• 3+ years of experience leading a software team
• 6+ years of hands-on software development experience
• Experience with Python or a strong understanding of another hashmap-heavy dynamic language (e.g., JavaScript, Ruby, Perl)
• Experience working on a core product/engine or other infrastructure-level software – an advantage
• Experience in low-margin-of-error environments (e.g., embedded systems, medical) – an advantage
• Experience in highly regulated industries (e.g., fintech, medical) – an advantage
• Strong problem-solving mindset with a proactive, can-do attitude
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
