MOTION CONTROL - TEAM LEAD

About the Role

Location: Petah Tikva, Israel

Role type: full time permanent contract

This is a hands-on technical leadership role combining team management with deep involvement in motor validation, R&D testing, and controller integration.

You will lead a high-voltage EV powertrain laboratory, guide a team of test engineers, and play a key role in shaping testing methodologies and product validation processes.

What You’ll Work On

• Leading a team of test and motion control engineers
• Managing a HV high-end EV powertrain laboratory with 3 test rigs
• Leading R&D activities and planning EOL testing
• Driving continuous improvements in the testing process
• Developing electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical documentation
• Leading customer support

Your background

Mandatory Qualifications:

• BSc or MSc in Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering
• 5+ years of experience with 3-phase high-power electric motors (BLDC, PMSM, IM)
• Knowledge of electromechanical rotation systems & drivetrains
• Strong background in electrical measurements (voltage, current, power, THDu, PF) using an oscilloscope
• Experience working with motor controllers, VFDs, DC power supplies, batteries
• Understanding of a vector control systems (FOC, Clarke and Park Transforms)
• Knowledge of various types of position sensors

Advantage:

• NVH measurements experience
• Experience with CAN Bus protocol
• Experience in Python & Excel VBA (Bonus: Busmaster, LabVIEW, MATLAB)
• High-level English skills
