Information Technology Infrastructure Manager

The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Ben-Gurion University is seeking an experienced and innovative IT Infrastructure Manager to lead the school’s computing environment and technical team.

In this role, you’ll manage and maintain our server rooms, HPC infrastructure (GPU clusters, VMware, Linux/UNIX systems), networks, and databases. You’ll be responsible for IT strategy, data security, and backup operations, and will support both research and teaching laboratories across the school.

You’ll also guide and mentor the technical team, support faculty and students, and take part in shaping the school’s technological roadmap to enable academic excellence.

Requirements:

• M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure management
• Hands-on experience with VMware, Linux/Windows, HPC, databases
• Experience in IT support and user services
• Team leadership experience – strong advantage
• Experience in software development or system automation – an advantage
