NPI Engineer

Elmo is looking for an excellent and motivated NPI Engineer to join our team!

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end NPI (New Product Introduction) processes from development phase through serial production
• Serve as a key interface between R&D and Production to ensure a smooth and efficient transition
• Review and validate PCB designs with a strong focus on DFM and manufacturability
• Lead and contribute to the creation and maintenance of full engineering documentation packages (BOMs, work instructions, production files)
• Manage component engineering activities, including component selection, alternates, EOL and PCN analysis
• Drive the preparation and release of manufacturing documentation and production files
• Troubleshoot engineering issues on production lines and lead root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Lead engineering improvements focused on cost reduction, cycle time optimization, quality enhancement, and error prevention
• Support subcontractors and external manufacturing partners
• Handle engineering changes (ECOs) and ensure proper implementation in production
• Provide ongoing technical support related to PCB design and manufacturing, including communication with PCB vendors

Qualifications:

• B.Sc. in Electronics Engineering or Practical Electronics Engineer – Required
• At least 2 years of proven experience in NPI (New Product Introduction) / transfer from development to production – Required
• At least 2 years of experience writing work instructions and engineering documentation in Hebrew and English – Required
• Hands-on experience with PCB design tools – Required
• Experience in component engineering, including component selection, alternates, EOL and PCN management, and new component qualification processes – Strong Advantage
• Background in PCB layout/design – Advantage
• Experience with AGILE system – Advantage
• Experience with PRIORITY ERP system – Advantage
• Fluent Hebrew and English – Required
