Cloud Network Practical Expert

A leading financial organization is looking for a Cloud Network Practical Expert.

Location: Rishon LeZion

Hybrid model - 1 day per week working from home.

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly experienced hands-on expert specializing in cloud networking and security infrastructure across Azure and GCP environments.

This role is strictly execution-focused, responsible for the implementation of network connectivity, deep troubleshooting, and full automation of the organization’s cloud network environment.

Responsibilities (Execution & Implementation)

• Implementation & Deployment:
• Hands-on setup of cloud networking infrastructure including VPC/VNET, peerings, cloud routers, and hybrid connectivity (ExpressRoute / Interconnect)
• Automation with Terraform (IaC):
• Writing and implementing infrastructure-as-code for networking and security components, aligned with organizational standards
• Cloud Security (Practical):
• Configuration and management of cloud firewalls, load balancers, and network policies (NSG/ASG) in multi-cloud environments
• Troubleshooting:
• Handling complex network issues in production environments, including traffic analysis, packet loss, and cross-cloud latency
• Optimization (FinOps):
• Identifying inefficient or costly network components and implementing technical improvements to reduce costs

Requirements

• Experience:
• 8-10+ years of overall IT experience, with a strong focus on System & Networking - must
• Cloud Experience:
• 4-5 years of hands-on experience working daily with Azure or GCP (console + CLI) - must
• Infrastructure as Code:
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience writing Terraform modules for networking - must
• Infrastructure Background:
• Deep understanding of IT infrastructure with a strong emphasis on data networking
• Solid knowledge of networking protocols, cloud routing, and network-based security solutions - must
• Broad infrastructure understanding where networking is at the core of the solution

• Ability to work across teams - close collaboration with architecture, development, and security teams
• Strong ownership and initiative - ability to identify implementation gaps before execution
• Practical FinOps mindset - ability to apply cost optimization decisions in real time (e.g. replacing NAT Gateway with a more cost-effective solution)
• Ability to enable others - guiding teams on how to use the networking components delivered
