We are looking for an SMT Hand Soldering Technician who treats a soldering iron like a surgical instrument. This isn’t just a production line role; it’s for a craftsperson who enjoys the challenge of bringing complex, high-density hardware to life.

You will be responsible for high-precision assembly of our core electronics, from prototyping new designs to refining and supporting ongoing production builds. This role is intended not only for prototyping but also for consistent, high-quality production work.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Even Yehuda, Israel.

What You’ll Do

• High-Precision Assembly: Execute manual SMT and PTH soldering for complex, multi-layer PCBs, specifically handling fine-pitch components (0201, 0402) and high-pin-count ICs.
• Complex Rework: Perform delicate PCB repairs, including component replacement using hot air, repairing damaged pads or traces, and implementing modifications for prototype testing.
• Quality & Inspection: Conduct rigorous visual inspections under high magnification to ensure all joints meet high-reliability standards and are free of bridge, void, or cold-solder defects.
• DFM Feedback: Collaborate directly with hardware engineers to identify "un-solderable" designs or footprint errors, providing practical feedback to improve future manufacturing cycles.
• Lab Standards: Ensure the lab environment is kept to a professional standard, clean, safe, and organized.

Qualifications

• Technical Skills: Significant professional experience in manual SMT soldering. You should be comfortable with 0201/0402 passives and small SMT packages (QFN/DFN).
• Tool Proficiency: Expert-level use of soldering stations, hot-air rework tools, pre-heaters, and digital/optical microscopes. Familiarity with multimeters for basic continuity and power-rail checks is required.
• Operational Focus: A methodical, patient approach to work. You must be able to maintain high quality while working through a backlog of boards in a fast-paced R&D setting.
