We are seeking an experienced Faculty IT Manager to lead and manage the faculty’s computing and IT operations. This is a hands-on leadership role combining infrastructure management, user support, systems administration, and team leadership in a complex academic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the faculty’s IT operations, including servers, software, and end-user computing across the faculty administration and supported departments.
• Provide professional guidance, technical support, and troubleshooting for faculty staff and users.
• Manage, maintain, and develop the faculty website and supported departmental websites.
• Advise faculty members on the procurement of computing equipment and IT solutions.
• Maintain computing equipment in supported laboratories and manage relationships with external vendors and service providers.
• Ensure backup, availability, and reliability of faculty IT systems.
• Serve as the main liaison with the central IT & Information Systems Division.
• Provide professional support and backup to departmental IT staff.
• Lead and manage the technical IT team within the faculty.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems Engineering, or Computer Science.
• At least 4 years of relevant hands-on experience in IT operations and infrastructure.
• Proven experience with PC and Mac hardware, operating systems, networking, and software support.
• Experience managing Microsoft and Linux servers.
• Experience writing scripts using Bash and PowerShell.
• Advantage: Experience with programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, SQL.
• Advantage: Experience maintaining MySQL and FileMaker servers and database management.
• Advantage: Experience managing and leading technical teams.
• Advantage: Experience in training and knowledge sharing.
