Senior Backend / Full Stack Developer – Founding Team

Roseberry is a fast-growing media-tech startup redefining short-form entertainment for the mobile era. We’re building a high-scale platform powering the next generation of vertical content – and we’re looking for a strong backend-oriented engineer to join our founding team.

This role is backend-first, with ownership over core systems, infrastructure, and scalability, while still collaborating across the stack when needed.

Responsibilities:

- Design, build, and scale backend services and APIs powering our platform.

- Architect high-performance, scalable systems (high throughput, real-time, data-intensive).

- Own backend infrastructure, including performance, reliability, and monitoring.

- Work with databases (MongoDB) – schema design, optimization, and scaling.

- Collaborate with product and frontend teams to deliver end-to-end features.

- Improve system architecture, data flows, and backend best practices.

- Lead backend-related technical decisions and influence system design.

- Support deployment processes and production stability.

- Contribute to frontend/mobile features when needed (React / React Native).

Requirements:

- 7+ years of experience with strong backend focus.

- Deep experience with Node.js and backend architecture.

- Strong experience building scalable distributed systems.

- Hands-on experience with databases (MongoDB – design & performance tuning).

- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS – EC2, S3, etc.).

- Strong understanding of API design, data modeling, and system performance.

- Experience with monitoring, logging, and production systems.

- Ability to take ownership of backend systems end-to-end.

- Experience with React / React Native.

Additional Advantages:

- Experience with video streaming platforms or mobile content ecosystems.

- Familiarity with monetization systems, ad-tech, or in-app payments.

- Knowledge of mobile app publishing (App Store, Google Play).

- Experience with analytics tools (Mixpanel, similar platforms) and A/B testing.

- Background in high-growth startups or entertainment products.
