Senior Backend Engineer (Production-Scale)

We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join a core team building a production-heavy platform where reliability, performance, and clean architecture truly matter.

This role is for engineers who enjoy owning systems end-to-end: designing services, shipping to production, monitoring what they build, and continuously improving throughput, latency, and operational stability.

What you’ll do

• Build and maintain backend services that handle high-throughput event flows in production
• Own system design decisions: service boundaries, data contracts, reliability patterns, and performance tradeoffs
• Design for real-world conditions: spikes, retries, partial failures, and safe rollouts
• Work with event-driven architecture (Kafka) and production-grade CI/CD & deployment practices
• Collaborate closely with engineers across the stack and contribute to technical standards and best practices

Must-haves

• Senior-level backend engineering experience in production systems
• Golang (hands-on)
• TypeScript + NestJS (hands-on)
• Strong experience with Kafka / event-driven systems in production
• Strong experience with GitOps / ArgoCD
• A production mindset: observability, incident ownership, debugging, and reliability

Big advantage (Data background)

• Experience with Iceberg or modern data infrastructure / streaming pipelines
• Familiarity with lakehouse concepts and query engines such as Trino/Presto (or similar)
