Database Administrator Team Lead

🚀 We’re Hiring: Database Administrator (MongoDB & Relational)

Full-Time | Remote | USD

We’re looking for an experienced Database Administrator with strong expertise in MongoDB and relational databases to join our team. This role is critical to maintaining high-performing, scalable, and secure data systems across cloud and on-prem environments.

We are specifically looking for candidates who meet the core technical requirements below. If you do not have hands-on experience in these areas, this role may not be the right fit.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Own all MongoDB-related activities (Atlas + on-prem)

• Maintain and support SQL Server & PostgreSQL databases

• Monitor database health, performance, and availability

• Optimize queries and advise on schema design

• Manage High Availability (HA) & Disaster Recovery (DR)

• Handle database upgrades, patches, and versioning

• Build and support data extraction pipelines

• Contribute to long-term scalability and architecture

• Participate in on-call production support.

✅ Core Requirements (Must-Have)

• 4+ years experience across data platforms

• At least 2 years as a DBA (MongoDB + relational databases)

• Strong hands-on experience with MongoDB (Atlas & on-prem)

• Solid experience with SQL Server and PostgreSQL

• Advanced T-SQL skills (query optimization, performance tuning)

• Hands-on data engineering experience (Airflow preferred)

• AWS experience (minimum 1 year)

• Strong knowledge of backup, recovery, security & data integrity

• Experience with Git and modern development workflows

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Fluent in English.

➕ Nice to Have

• Experience with dbatools, Redgate SQL Toolbelt, Coralogix

• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and Liquibase.
