Backend Team Leader

The company is located in Central Israel (prime location with immediate access to major transport hubs) and operates a hybrid work model with one day remote flexibility.

Role Overview:

• Technical Leadership: Managing a team of 5 skilled engineers, reporting directly to the Group Manager.
• Hands-on Contribution: Maintaining a significant 40% hands-on presence, driving core architectural decisions and complex feature development.
• Modern Cloud Stack: Leading development in Go (Golang) within a high-scale GCP environment.
• Infrastructure Excellence: Leveraging Kubernetes, Helm, PostgreSQL, and Elasticsearch to build resilient, distributed security systems.
• Execution & Mentorship: Taking end-to-end ownership of team delivery, from design to production, while fostering the professional growth of team members.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in a management or technical leadership role – Mandatory.
• Proven professional experience in Go (Golang) development – Mandatory.
• Strong background in high-tech or cybersecurity companies – Mandatory.
• Academic/Military Excellence: B.Sc. in a technical discipline OR alumni of an elite military technological unit – Mandatory.
• Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes) and modern CI/CD practices.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-critical R&D environment.
