Quality Engineer for a Defense Company

About the Company

Responsible for the transition process from development to creation in quality issues. Quality representative on the product development team.

About the Role

Tester of systems in the development stages (software) - product testing and writing SRS documents. Source of knowledge in the field of regulation - CE, FCC, MIL STD, radiation safety standards, laser safety standards, soldering (IPC), etc.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for building and implementing environmental test plans - including GANT, testing costs in external laboratories.
• Preparing quality plans and specifications for the product at all stages – from product approval to engineering changes as a result of technical issues.
• Reviewing quality and production processes – conducting internal audits after transferring the product to the NPI process.
• Planning and implementing sampling methods, detailed test methods.
• Controlling and drafting procedures and work instructions.
• Monitoring and controlled documentation of projects in development.
• Monitoring product compliance with customer standards/requirements.
• Data analysis and statistical methods - SPC.
• Responsible for monitoring factory failure studies and performing effective tests of preventive actions.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience as a quality engineer in the electronics / mechanics / optics industry.
• Knowledge and experience in writing procedures and work instructions in accordance with military and international standards.
• Ability to read and understand drawings.
• Ability to work in a multi-tasking environment and under pressure.
• Good command of English (high level reading and writing), an additional language is an advantage.
• Engineer/Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical.
• Has formal education in the field of quality and reliability (Master's degree, CQE).
